What are your company’s sales and marketing goals for the next year? Determine how trade shows fit into the sales and marketing strategies you have implemented to reach these goals.
Once you’ve determined how in-person events fit your overall business strategy, review trade shows and conferences in your industry to determine which are important to your business goals.
Create a calendar of shows you are considering. Is there an industry association to which your company is a member? More likely than not, they will have a trade show or conference you should consider. Their website may also include other trade shows and events of interest to members like you.
