I’m Lisa Masiello — an author who loves helping people build something of their own and unwind with a good mystery.

For nearly 30 years, I led corporate marketing teams at global tech companies and fast‑growing startups. I’ve launched products, built brands, managed teams and eventually started my own consulting business. Along the way, I chaired the advisory board of a nonprofit dedicated to helping people start their own businesses. That experience changed me. I saw how many dreamers wanted to launch a business but felt overwhelmed, intimidated, or unsure where to begin.

Most business books are written for people who already have a business. Mine are written for the people who are still dreaming — the ones with a side hustle, a hobby they love, or an idea they can’t stop thinking about. I write for the beginners, the builders, the “I think I can do this” crowd. My goal is simple: make business feel doable, not overwhelming.

But there’s another side of me, too.

I’m a lifelong cozy mystery reader — a coffee lover, beachgoer, frequent traveler, and native New Englander who grew up devouring The Hardy Boys, then Agatha Christie, and eventually Jill Churchill, Leslie Meier, M.C. Beaton, Ngaio Marsh, and so many others. I’ve always loved the puzzles, the clues, the small‑town charm, and the feeling of trying to solve the mystery before the reveal. For years, I told myself, “One day I’ll write one.”

That “one day” is finally becoming real. My first cozy mystery, Murder LLC, is in the works and will be coming in 2028.

And because I want to build a real community — not just chase likes and follows — I’m no longer active on social media. Instead, I share everything I would normally post on those platforms in my Notebook here on this site. It’s my personal feed, where I give you behind‑the‑scenes secrets, talk about new business tools I’m testing, share the books I’m reading, show you what chapter I’m currently writing, reveal who I just named a character after, and so much more.
