Trade Show Planner: Assess Your Booth
Your 12 month trade show checklist
Assessing whether you could reuse your current booth is just one task in a large checklist you’ll need to complete as a trade show exhibitor. Review my entire pre-show, on-site, and post-show checklist of exhibitor planning activities.
Trade Show Planning:
Assess Whether You Could Reuse Your Current Booth
9-6 MONTHS TO GO. PRE-SHOW ACTIVITIES.
Creating a new booth structure, design, and messaging takes time - whether you choose to work with an independent exhibit house, or the exhibit services group the show decorator recommends.
Nine months to execute your plan can seem like a very long time. Your tendency may be to procrastinate by putting other priorities before this one. Please take my advice and begin this process now.
Do you already have a booth in storage? If you decide to use this booth for your next show, it’s time to unpack it and assess what you can use as-is and what will need to be changed.
If the booth structure fits a 10'x20' space, but your new show space is 10'x10', can the booth structure be easily reconfigured to accommodate the smaller space?
What about the graphics? Will the messages on the existing graphics help you meet your new show’s sales goals, or will they need to be changed?
