Trade Show Planning:
Say Thank You

POST SHOW. WITHIN 5-7 DAYS AFTER SHOW.

When your trade show is over, it’s so easy for everyone to slip back into their familiar day-to-day routines. Email inboxes and voice mailboxes are full. The show is over and following up on emails and voice messages is your priority now. But don’t forget to say thank you. You want to thank both leads and current customers for taking the time to visit your booth during the show.

A handwritten note by your customers’ primary account representative will go a long way in deepening your company’s relationship with them.

Whether you decide to send a handwritten note to leads or distribute an automated email, make sure that the message is friendly and not salesy. This is not the time to sell your services. It is the time to thank people for stopping by your booth and tell them what a great time you had meeting them.

You can also announce the winners of a contest or game you played in the booth.

This first post-show communication should convey to your leads that you appreciate them.

Once this letter or email has been sent, your sales team can follow up three days later to better educate them on the company and the products and services you sell.
