As a female entrepreneur myself, I have had the opportunity to meet with men and women from governments, non-profit organizations, and startup companies around the world to discuss women’s entrepreneurship in both developed and developing countries.

One common theme discussed across all groups is that women are rarely exposed to role models who look like them, speak like them, and understand the specific challenges they face.

While women around the globe know intellectually that entrepreneurship serves as a catalyst for economic growth, the drive to take on the challenges associated with this arduous journey only ignites the soul when they are presented with successful women role models who share their customs, cultural traditions, and backgrounds.

In She Did and I Will, I interview a diverse group of women across multiple countries highlighting their entrepreneurial journey and how, with business ownership, they have transformed their lives, the lives of their families, and the state of their communities. It contrasts each woman’s success with their country’s unique challenges and presents specific resources available to all women.

My goal is to inspire and empower women around the world by presenting them with examples of entrepreneurial women in whom they can see themselves, and reveal a roadmap to personal growth, professional success, and financial independence.
