Trade Show Planning:
Pack the Booth and Other Materials
Ship to the Advance Warehouse

1 MONTH TO GO. PRE-SHOW ACTIVITIES.

Review the deadline for shipping your booth, graphics, collateral, giveaways, and other materials to the advance warehouse.

Confirm the schedule with your exhibit house and make sure they know the exact date and time that the shipping company will be at their door to pick up your booth.

If you will be shipping materials from your office, do you have enough boxes, packing materials, packing tape, and shipping labels to get your boxes out on time?

As I discuss in chapter 16 of Trade Show 411, shipping to the advance warehouse is the best option because it saves you money.

If you ship crates and boxes to multiple locations like the advance warehouse, direct to the convention center, and to your attention at your hotel, create a spreadsheet of shipments. Include in the spreadsheet the individual items that will be shipped to each location. This way you will know exactly which items were sent to each destination and if an item is missing when you arrive at the show.
