Trade Show Planner: Booth Inventory
Your 12 month trade show checklist
Taking inventory is just one task in a large checklist you’ll need to complete as a trade show exhibitor. Review my entire pre-show, on-site, and post-show checklist of exhibitor planning activities.
Trade Show Planning:
Reassemble Your Booth and Take Inventory
POST SHOW. WITHIN 5-7 DAYS AFTER SHOW.
Trade show booths are disassembled at the end of a show so much more quickly than they are assembled at the beginning of the show.
Corners of cabinets can be damaged, fabric graphics may be dirty, a lightbulb may be broken, and screws may be missing.
Once your booth has returned to your office or the office of your exhibit house, it’s the perfect time to reassemble the structure and inspect it for missing pieces and damage.
Create an inventory of what has to be cleaned, replaced, or purchased new.
Calculate the cost and schedule a time for the work to be completed.
There is much less stress on you and/or your exhibit house if you complete this task as soon as a show is over than if you wait until a few weeks before the next show takes place.

Read Chapter 27 of Trade Show 411 to learn about what to do when the show is over. This is just as important as preparing for the show to begin.
